No, it's not awful. It's just not him at his best. I thought he sounded really false in the first chorus, kinda like me when I try it, except I'm much worse. So indeed, I can't even sing 1/10 as good as John. So I know how hard Iris is. I just thought he sounded a bit, I dunno, weird. But, you know, he has vocal nodules and all that jazz, so I understand he can't sing at his best. But I think they did American Girl very, very nicely. I just think Iris wasn't done that well.

you seriously consider this performance awful?In case you didn't know it's one of the toughest songs to sing live...JensRotten you should try singing it 1/10 as good as John Rzeznik...

if your going to diss robby, at least know how to spell his name right. obviously hes just having a great time and putting a lot of energy into playing up there in memory of the dead firemen from 9/11. its refreshing to see him and john so full of excitement up there performing, its apparent that they want to be there and want to help other people enjoy themselves there as well.
