@Serviceinstaller Check out the video: "Hearing is Believing" by Ethan Winer, also his other lecture "Audio myths workshop". If the money wasn't an issue, I would buy active studio monitors recessed in walls of the room, not to mention acoustic treatment, and that would cost less than these Utopia speakers. I think people decide to buy all this hi-end stuff with the same part of the brain that makes decision to buy huge bling-bling diamond pendant with "$" sign. I'm probably jealous of that too.
@Parkinson9999 You don't buy these to put in a artsy room like this advertisement shows. They're to be put in a well built listening room that probably costs the same as the speakers. 30db peaks? Nice arbitrary spec. You display jealousy at its finest. If you could afford to even walk into the listening room for an audition of these you wouldn't be so mad.
What's the reason to spend hundreds of thousands of Euros for a pair of speakers, if a typical room you put them in has 30 dB peaks and notches in the frequency response? (even worse if it's minimalist - in other words, empty). Audio snobism at its finest, I'm sure no one with some technical education (especially in acoustics or electronics) would buy these.

je suis Completement addict a Focal, mais... celles si sont hors de prix...
les meilleure haut-parleur sont les Gershman Acoustics (40 000$ la paire)
ils sonnet mieux que ceux si... je vous l'assure je l'ai ai comparer

i really would not buy these speakers.
the difference between these and the "small" focal chorus 836v is not as big as i thought.
