Can you buy "real" beer in Utah? What happens if you order a double? Or if you have a taste for something fruity?
While at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, Reason.tv's Ted Balaker asks a bartender to make sense of the state's confusing liquor laws. (3.10 minutes long)
I have lived in Utah and Colorado. Colorado has some of the best micros out there. Utah is just freakin' weird with their culture. It is totally driven by the LDS church more than anything. It would be the best place to live on the planet if the religious nanny state was not there looking over your shoulder.

Australia just introduced a 'sin tax' on pre-mixed drinks (alco-pops), as they are said to encourage younger boozers.
The drinking age here is 18; any bureaucrat trying to increase this would immediately lose the youth vote (the voting age is 18, too).
Some tribal areas enforce total prohibition, chronic alcohol abuse due to social isolation and persecution destroyed many Aboriginal communities.

I wonder if the citizens of Utah really enjoy being treated like children when it comes to beer (and probably so many other things, too).

When you cross the line of certain amount of state dependant citizens it's one way ticket to "bread and circus". Even if they would be able to understand the situation, they are corrupted by government already (bureaucrats, handicapped, unemployed, single mums, minority groups, homosexuals) and most importantly - uneducated. We are searching for knowledge - yes, we are minority... but every CHANGE ;-) was always initiated by minority.

Really awesome video! It's interesting to see these kinds of videos on here. I like the fact the youtube is freedom for any kind of video. =)

It's whole industry now - just like global warming and CO2 guilt. Try to tell some drug cop that from tomorrow he'll earn half or nothing because there is no need to chase drug users... I just watched "ABC - We're Losing The War On Drugs" and I was really stunned and saddened - such a waste! For whole my life I believed in free America - now I know it was a myth... American Republic was killed in 1913 and now it's a slippery slope to tyranny. Mises Institute has answers, but they are minority.

It's like the truth of things is not merely secondary, it's completely irrelevant. Drug prohibition has done tremendous damage this country in terms of lives ruined and corruption on both sides of the law and in terms of hundreds of billions of wasted dollars, but ending it can't even be seriously considered.

remember that in all states marijuana is totally illegal and public schools get more and more money even if they can't produce any results... In socialism idiocy rules, just like in muslim countries (with shariah law).
