Ken Smith demonstrates basic engine assembly starting with cylinder head gaskets and installing the cylinder heads. Using Arp Studs, Ken demonstrates how to torque the cylinder head studs on his Rover V8 3.5 Liter engine which will be installed in his 1966 MGB V8 conversion project. Enjoy! Cheers!

  • I think those ARP studs are better than std. bolts as they are better quality and you aren't tightening bolts up into a soft aluminium block either so theres less chance of stripping a thread.

  • this video helped me a lot even through i am stripping the engine block!!! :)

  • GREAT VIDEOS!! thank you for all information ;)

  • Hello and this very nice rover V8 engine now I would like to know the reason of why I put studs instead of bolts connecting the head with the block and if this change is best I could say the length and gauge what kind of screw nut to use as these parts are torque of 70lbs thanks ...
