See THE WILDLIFE RESCUER Jim Orr of Witter Wildlife Refuge feed an uncooperative baby red-tail hawk. Please donate now at http://www.witterwildliferefuge.com.
It could be a rufous red-tailed hawk. Its still an extremely young hawk, so its hard to tell for certain, since the red tail feathers won't come in until later for this morph. There are various morphs for red tailed hawks.
Oh, and don't forget the fact that it's not even a red-tailed hawk. It's a red-SHOULDERED hawk. What you're hearing right there is a distressed baby red-shouldered hawk. Even if you couldn't tell from the call (which sounds nothing like a baby red-tail, by the by), the crimson flash on its shoulders should be enough of a clue. Someone without a license to work with birds should not be making videos that the public might find "educational" when they don't know what they're doing.
Okay... So... 1. if you don't want him to bite you, don't hold him at all. 2. They don't eat chicken. At all. He should be getting mice at the least and definitely shouldn't be getting any kind of processed meat. That can really mess him up for life. 3. Feed him inside. He's being freaked out by all the animals around ESPECIALLY THAT DOG.
Really, I can't even begin to say how much is REALLY wrong with everything that guy was doing. So, eagle7220, everything you found informative is dead wrong
OMG I want him.
