  • This arrangement sounds pretty old, is this from around 2002 or so?

  • @tananario I think so. It's from before she took her hiatus.

  • @alovesgd22 Being homosexual and a Christian are not mutually exclusive

  • Her new stuff is amazing! I admire her courage and honesty in coming out. It's on par with what her music has always been: honest and real. It was a little surprising for me to discover that the rumors I have been hearing about her for years were true, but I support her and believe God still loves us, even with all our garbage, seen and unseen.

  • Since we've already mutilated a fine, passionate work of art with a religious debate, I'll throw my log on the fire:

    1. People who cite the old testament have selective amnesia. OH gays'll burn, but it's totally OK to eat shellfish. The difference? One is an easy target, the other would just be too inconvenient.

    2. Romans: one line out of hundreds - about how nobody lives up the law, but Jesus saves

3: I Corinth 6 - selective amnesia. This is about lawsuits. No lawyers in MY kingdom of heaven!

  • @kahul2 But, at the same time, you could be right that they were destroyed for sexual immorality and not just homosexuality. But then how do you explain the verse that speaks of a man lying with another man being an abomination? That certainly does goes into great detail. Sorry to start a discussion, I am open minded on the issue to be honest but am leaning more towards the literal translation I read for right now.

  • @kahul2 The problem is that in that verse it goes into deeper detail than just "homosexuality". It says that the people of the city wanted to have sex with the Angel(s) of God who was speculated to be God Himself by some. Instead of allowing that, he offered his daughter. In verses of the New Testament, I will agree that there might be some room for error in translation as every verse I read from the New Testament simply mentions the word homosexuality and never goes into greater detail.

  • @alovesgd22 A true Christian does not judge others. It is not your place to do so. Just because she is gay doesn't mean she has lost her faith in what she believes in.

  • @MrBaymedia I believe that if you actually examine the texts in directly translated Hebrew there is no actual reference to "homosexuality" in the story of Soddom and Gommorah only to "sexual immorality". The term homosexuality was inserted somewhere in one of the many times that biblical texts changed hands and were translated and retranslated. This is beside the fact that if I actually believed that Homosexuality was a sin that people could repent from it can't change the way I treat them.

  • @tananario Yep it's right before she disappeared. That whole album was full of bitterness and confusion and to me totally obvious she was struggling with her sexual identity. It was actually a great album!

  • @elvispupy well said

  • I want to encourage you to stand tall. I am very proud of you. I took that leep of faith and landed in my Lord's arms almost 7 yrs ago now. I felt as though I was living a lie and could no longer live that way anymore; contrary to what I was taught I have perfect peace in my walk with Christ. I am really me now, the whole me...
