Wonderful Tonight, another of Eric Clapton's most popular hits, has been arranged by many but there are only a handful that are really good, such as this version by Masaaki Kishibe. The original version was in altered tuning (CGDGAD) and played on an acoustic guitar, but I got tired of re-tuning the strings all the tme so I decided to re-arrange it in normal tuning. There were some compromises in doing so (and played with a classical guitar) but I tried my best to stay true to the original version.

  • Hi guys i did a cover of an fingerstyle arrangement of Wonderful Tonight too (Ulli Boegershausen version) please check it out, it's called (Eric Clapton) Wonderful Tonight - Rees

    Thanks!!!!

  • thanx man.. u make my ear feel god

  • nice..

  • awwsome teach me that!!!

  • esta bueno amigo subi mas que los estoy sacando a casi todas las canciones que haces, y estan muy buenas jajaja mucho mejor que yo jajaja

  • This is not best version at all. The nylon strings lack the depth and richness of steel, especially in the tuning Masaaki Kishibe uses. Your initial bends are flat, and take away from the whole experience. Final analysis, it does not sound good in standard...keep it the way Masaaki did it...he did it that way for a reason.

  • 好久没来听了!依然动听!真的是很棒!谢谢! ^_^

  • This is the best version that I've heard about this beautiful song (and I really searched a lot). It took me three weeks to play it, but it was worth it.

Thank you for the video. It' the best.

I have a question, I see you bend the strings very easily, what type and brand of strings do you use (I've a'ddario normal tension in my guitar and I just can't bend them like you).

Thank you again for sharing your talent with us.

  • Could you send me the tab of your version of this wonderful song? Thank you... You are great!;)
