I wouldn't say this religion ruined my 'life' it has had me in therapy for many years, ruined relationships, ruined my ability to trust,make friends, live ' 'normal' life outside of it, and i'm ten years out.

I'm an ex Jw, been df'd twice went back twice. Eventually I just left and found the truth in Jesus Christ, NO RELIGION. Jesus is the way the truth and life John chapter 14. Take it from me guys, I am happy, even though my family shuns me. Call on the name of Jesus.

the Bible says that the heart is trechurous and cant be trusted...also people who leave or are disfellowshipped love the world and want to be apart of it...Jesus said if you love the world the love of God is not in you. you cant do what you want to do and say your a friend of Jehovah, he deserves to be worshiped in a certain way. but with all that said...you dont have to be a jw to live forever, but its easier to associate with pple who have the same principals as you!

@Dubiousjohnny I too have had to take anxiety medication thanks to the JWS. I really hope there is a reckoning, and they have to answert for the parts they have all played, especially the "faithful and discreet SLAVE".

@SusanQ83642 Thank you for the post. It made me feel better today about growing up as a JW and all the pain that came with it which still haunts me to this day....What is SDA?, just curious....

@Supersouljia3 - BTW, you say you have meditated on the Bible...well, meditate some on this. The Bible teaches that ALL will see the return of Jesus. And it warns us to beware of those that say he has returned, but is in the mountains, or desert. - So why do you defend an organization that says he HAS returned but INVISIBLY...in other words, he "in the mountains."

@Supersouljia3 - God's name does not ONCE appear in the ancient manuscripts of the New Testament. But the NWT inserts it over and over, and in many cases it is obvious that Jesus is being spoken of. - BTW, if God's name was in fact removed from the Bible, and God allowed it to happen...how can we trust anything in the Bible?

@GungHo1032 but the roman catholics did devise a meeting putting gods name out the bible... and gods name has been proven by history to be there... like the tetrigramiton or the words YHWH was deleted from the bible. and whats with the updating of the bible without gods name??? im not trying to argue i just want to kno...

@Supersouljia3 - First off, are you telling me that you are only 12 years old? If so, be advised I do not debate with children that THINK they know it all. Secondly, if you have acquired your "extensive Bible knowledge" from the Jehovah's Witnesses, it is not extensive at all. - Kid, you really need to seek out true Christianity, and get some real Bible understanding. And you need to read Crisis of Conscience.

If you have been disfellowshipped, or left the JW's voluntarily, there is a place to go. Go to the Lord in prayer and petition and HE will guide you in the way you should go. I am SDA and I am SO HAPPY to have a nonjudgmental church family that loves me and will take in those who love the Lord and not judge you. You DO need to read your Bible and decide in your heart what YOU believe, not what someone TELLS you to believe. The Bible is the ONLY WORD you need!! Follow your heart! Love you all!

I DID read the bible once and I only got as far as 2 Kings before I realised religion was BS. Like most gods, the Bible god is a genocidal misogamist. And Paul was tripping-out well bad on some herb or fungus when he wrote Revelation!??? Great book the Bible!! It'll open ur minds to all sorts of unspeakable evils.
