Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-400 departing Orlando McCoy International Airport MCO on a rainy afternoon. Operating as Flight VS 028 to London Gatwick LGW - Jet-blast spraying water off the runway. Clip includes ATC audio. There were three other Virgin Atlantic 747s at departure gates - Click here to watch the other VS 747 takeoff:

  • Is there a website which I can go to where I can listen to live ATC from any date at any airport? I have a major interest in aviation.

  • Looks like the top floor of the parking garage (which also has a helo pad) above the main terminal. I believe its 11 stories up. Its free to go up there. Its frequented by workers on lunch breaks and you see the occasional photographer.

  • Where were you to capture this ?

  • @wolf2351 British Airways is competing against Virgin Atlantic. British Airways only offers 1 destination to/from MCO, unlike Virgin Atlantic who offers 3. So far, up to 5 Virgin Atlantic 744s can be seen at Airside 4.

  • Great to see the 47s at MCO! Nice footage.

  • Im sorry if im wrong but the only aircraft that i see from British Airport at Orlando are 777 type.

  • Tampa needs to get airlines with 747's ASAP Cuz Tampa is an amazing airport and should deserve better!

  • Virgin is the only airline that flys 747 into and out ok Orlando

  • i just came back from flying with virgin to gatwick !!! the flgiht was a school bus run period. his 747`s are useless old interior so he can save his best quality flgihts for more destinations for the money i paid richard and team let me down badly!!!

  • It seems to me like Virgin Atlantic uses the 744s only on routes to Orlando, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and the Caribbean. The rest of the international routes seem dedicated to the A340s. I am guessing that Virgin has placed orders for the A380?
