Spankings yeah. Beat downs like the one that girl got, is NOT ok. I am Black and we got beat WORSE than that by our father, with no clothes on, leaving welts, bruises and what not, all over our bodies; sometimes the face, too! It has fostered deep seated resentment that took me years to get over, and I am now an adult!! Spankings, YES. Beatings, NO!!!

Black people think that getting beaten with the belt is not abuse because they are only a few generations from the slave culture and they think it's normal. They abuse as they were once abused. Anthropologists and sociologists know that African Americans are the poorest, most dysfunctional and violent because they are abused and carry on the abuse. Abuse damages people emotionally and physically. It breeds low self esteem and self loathing.

I do love it when people who have no understanding from my p.o.v. make wonderful innane accusations. I should note that I am in no way spoiled either, considering I live next to the southern border in a small house. "I am going to beat you into submission" or "I will spank you in the fucking face"?
