Katerina's D Video 2

This is Katerina, my daughter. She is Type 1 Diabetic, was diagnosed at age 3. She would like other people to know what its like to have to live with this disease. She would really like for a cure to be found. Her great-grandmother helped found the Alabama branch of the American Diabetes Association in the 1970's at Huntsville Hospital, where she was later diagnosed, then lived, in the PICU and in Pediatrics for a week in 2004. We credit the staff for saving her life, and her endocrynologist for giving us the best education and available insulin, and an open ear 24/7 to make sure she stays healthy. It doesn't always work....but we try. Kat we love you so much. One day there WILL be a cure and you wont have to get shots anymore. There has to be hope.
