@JeffersonCato1776 80% of the worlds wealth is controlled by 1% of the worlds population. if you believe in statistics, & allow that alone to create a judgement of a nation, it is up to you. my country has the highest suicide rate in the world, one of the lowest crime rates in the world. 1 could answer that in terms of the fact that only 1% of the population is christian, & of crime, in terms of a communal & conformist society. Numbers alone can never denominate a answer. maybe a simplistic one.

@DavidCaines100 i must agree, an American president did go to war twice in a decade, cut taxes twice, reformed the public utilities act, used power-politics to gain votes, particularly through medicare, go into office through court, lied to the public, used religious jargon.. but all in all, was one of the most popular presidents in history. When i look at the US, it makes me proud, and when i look at my country, who openly flaunts the constitution.. it is a sad world.

To get cheap oil??really??France uses its energy 75% from nuclear energy and we have some oil here and there (like many many other countries),so an oil policy as you suggested is irrelevant.
