@jjj255able ... whose job is not only to enforce the law but also to ensure for the general welfare of the society, we enter into a "Social Contract" with everyone else in that society. If you take taxes, amongst other things like a well-monitored police force, military, or just government in general, every man will end up protect their property by whatever means necessary (i.e. injury or murder).
