Rubin Israel Experience - Absorption Center near Jerusalem

We visited an absorption center outside Jerusalem today. The center mostly houses Ethiopian Jews who have immigrated to Israel because of the prosecution they received in their homeland.

Many of these Ethiopian Jews had to flee their homeland with only the shirts on their backs. Today in the absorption centers they learn how to move into the Israeli lifestyle and new world. Many of these Ethiopians need reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
