17-year-old jazz saxophonist BK Jackson performs the national anthem prior to Game 2 of the ALCS between the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field on October 11, 2008.
It blows my mind that a kid this young can play with so much emotion and feel. I'm sure he works hard at his craft, but most of that is just natural talent.
BK Jackson is the TRUTH. I heard him play the National Anthem at the Civil Rights Game in Cincinnati and it made me more emotional than anyone singing it could possibly do. This kid has a very special gift from G-d.
I am elated because this is my cousin and he inherited his instrumental skills from his father who went on to be a preacher and pastor of a church in Florida but passed away several years ago.
