Malteser International's flood aid in North Pakistan

First, the flood came -- taking away houses, fields and belongings of many people in Kohistan with it. Then, the winter came, and made the lives of those who lost everything and were now living in crowded emergency shelters even more difficult. Malteser International has brought help to the remote valleys of Kohistan. Follow our workers as they distribute aid packages; meet a father who walked four hours to receive Malteser International's aid; visit a family in its emergency shelter. Malteser International has worked in Pakistan since 2005 and has made a long-term commitment to the victims of the floods of 2010.

Malteser International's flood aid in Pakistan has been supported through the German Federal Foreign Office, Germany's Relief Coalition (Aktion Deutschland Hilft), the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Neighbour in Need, and many other private donors.
