My Prius Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) conversion was completed on May 24, 2007. In this video Carl (CEO of Hybrid Plus) gives me the introduction to the secondary display below the console.
You totaly miss the point. Yes, these early first adopter conversion will be expensive. But it shows that the technology is readily available. Let's get the car companies to build these and make them afortable for everyone.
Cost prohibitive! The cost to make this electric modification to a Prius is as much as the original sticker price of the vehicle. That eliminates 99% of the general population and therefore is a "pie in the sky" fix to the high costs of energy. Unless the manufacturer comes onboard by mass producing these cars, the average person simply cannot afford one.
