Phuket Vegetarian Festival (2009) - Blessings and Offerings

The Phuket Vegetarian Festival is a myriad of festivals, religious custom, a beauty parade and horror - Fascinating. What I have tried to show is a part and it is when people in their homes ask for the Spirits Blessing. The people in the parade are possessed by the spirits and the local (Chinese / Thai) people set up a small shrine with fruit and drink on it for the Spirit's Medium to come to and bless them. The intensity of the people who are receiving the blessings is a wonder to be part of - beautiful.
