  • @tubytele I talked to Jim today and he is sending he a 27 inch scale length so I am pretty excited. Everyone raves about these and Jim sounds like he really knows how to build a guitar. I love your playing btw!

  • I agree with this completely, I don't care how the student prefers to learn it. At first it might help to think about relative majors, but it really needs to be understanding the characteristic notes of the different modes. I don't want the student to think D Dorian is a C maj scale starting on D; I want him or her to think D dorian scale is a d min scale with a major 6th.
