Jackie Robinson Was a hero!

@hulkyone Sorry, I made a typo. I should have spelled it Capitol; it was a case of writer's block. Jackie had to suffer through a lot of racial slurs from the sidelines and discontent from his own teammates when first started playing. Obama, however, is a filthy deal-maker who has cared more about putting feathers in his cap than for helping the American public. He could've first focused on creating jobs and waited until this year to push for universal health care.

@Paulwhoisvegan Obama is no Jackie Robinson, and this is coming from a strong-hearted Democrat who feels he cheated us with his exaggerated and misleading "change" message. All he has been doing basically from the beginning of his term is try to please Republicans with obvious hopes of breaking Lyndon Johnson's popular vote record in the 2012 election; at the start of his term in 2009, he gave us huge tax cuts and also would have a Ronald Reagan statue unveiled in the Capital Rotunda

The original film was in black and white, not color. In the film, there was also an inaccurate portrayal of what happened when the team petitioned Jackie's removal. Leo Durocher actually was the main one who confronted the players and threatened to trade them if they didn't accept Jackie as their teammate. Durocher, who was known for his outspoken sailor mouth, also cursed when he stood up for Jackie, something that the Hays Code would've never allowed to be shown.

Jackie Robinson and Barack Obama
Rickey knew that Robinson would face great racism, and said he was looking for a black "with the courage not to fight back" Robinson got racial slurs hurled at him, and "Dodgers teammate Pee Wee Reese once came to Robinson's defense with the famous line, "You can hate a man for many reasons. Color is not one of them." All blacks face racism in America --decent ones or not.
