@benjaminbachman the only way I find this works is when I film in manual mode. I have to start the recording and the face detection window goes away. But I am still left with the overheating problem that the 7D has. It doesn't work that great for anything needing to be filmed for more than 12-15 min. I recommend using a web cam for anything longer.

Just wondering how you got rid of the Face Detection Live Mode so that you have a blank screen while you are shooting a person? Am I missing something. I can't get the camera to just have a blank screen. There always seems to be something on it which is distracting when using it in a live application. Can you help? Any Thoughts?
