You can do it with a Digital camera, then put the pictures into iMovie, movie maker or other video editing software.

Take a picture every : 15min , 30min , 1hr , 3hr , 6hr , or your choosing.

GuyS! how does one makes Timelapses with average home videocam recorders? Is that possible?? Or do you need a special equipment!!

nice work, particularly your novel use of moving down the spiral with tripod -- read about this in SL Trib. last week. Gotta love the Great Salt Lake -- mysterious place, though it failed to be a water route to San Francisco, like initially thought! ha
