Well this is the THe CHS Yellow Jacket Marching Band (2005-2006) Field Show in a Las Vegas Competition. We didnt win (since we were in a class level too high for us) but if we were in the right class we would have gotten Sweepstakes (which is higher than first). the mikes for it were way too close to the trombones and the camera was too far but it still sounds great and it brings back a lot of memories for us.

  • is that all you can do? make blocks, staight lines, and run all over the field?? thats retarded!

i know that you guys could do better and actually make shapes.

    Blocks dont count?

    Great Tubas!!!!!!!

  • im sorry, let me pull out my time machine and go back 4 years so that we can do better. :P

  • Wow, good job! I really liked it. I'm in a marching band too, McClatchy High School. We did Quidam too. It was pretty sweet.

  • Wow my school is another CHS Yellowjackets, and i actually thought it was a video of us

  • @LHerdez95 i dont usally comment on comments this old but i played tuba for this show and so i can say, as for the marching complexity... your talking about a band whos director was going through a break up, stomache ulcers, and was tired of working at the same school for 20 years dealing with budget cuts that only allwoed us to practice 2 hours a day. most of our instruments were held together with tape. it was better to have a simple show thats done well than complex done wrong.

  • @WhoBeTrollin yeah i was sousa this year. we got alot of compliments.

  • @tigerlilard no coltons glory days were 68-76. but recnet times i would say 96 to 01 is a fare assessment.

  • @WhoBeTrollin thanks. the band director recently asked if i wanted to be a sousa for the next marching season and i agreed. i hope i can live up to that statement. :)

  • DAMN U GUYS GOT GREAT SOUSAPHONES EVERY YEAR..im from Cajon HS btw

  • Very good show. I love the scenery. I espicaly like the way your director chose formation that fit the band. The sound quality was very good too. Usualy these small bands don't sound that good.

  • Go into the archives and even ask Mr. G (Dr. G for you younger members) about the glory era that was 1996-2000. I lived it and I doubt it had been repeated. ~ Liliana Aragon, Trumpet, Class of 2000

  • i miss being in band...
