This is my first attempt at making a turn based fighting game in VB 2008. Yes I know it's a basic boring overall stupid game. I'll expand it LATER. I did all the coding myself, for fun, this has nothing to do with school and I didn't use any prior knowledge except what I got from my intro to visual basic class 3 years ago. It took me about 12-16 hours altogether throughout 2 days.

I got the pictures from http://www.panelmonkey.org/

The sound effects and music are from various free sites.

I KNOW the music sounds weird...it's a long, boring game so I sped it up and didn't realize how weird it sounded till it was done.

  • @sagekiller I understand it easier to copy something and then change it and copy something else from somewhere and change that too. And this is very simple game after all.

  • @micalobeultra There is really no need for name calling. For some reason you seem to think that helping someone learn is the same as doing it for them. Another person asked me for help making the program through pm and I gave a general explanation. I did not give them the same code I used for the program. When I learned it was done the same way, I gave specific issues and they explained how to solve them. Not once was I sent a program's worth of code, which is what people have asked for.

  • @sagekiller You thought is flawed. How do you expect people to "Improve" themselves by doing their own research when if in your example, nothing should be given out to review? They are conflicting ideas. Even if you did do your "own research" how do you think you got what you were looking for? The people you talked to gave you ideas and showed you how to do what you were trying to do, especially on a forum; which most of the time has code posted on it and shared with you. Pretentious dick...

  • @gmodzero thank you but no, I don't give out my codes. I'm always willing to help explain how I did something instead.

  • @micalobeultra nothing like finding suddenly finding an old comment worth replying to. First off, we have different opinions. You believe things improve by sharing info, I believe it improves by people doing their own research. Second, that is offensive. I had no idea how to do anything more than basic coding. I had to teach myself every step of the way by researching and asking for help on forums. So maybe it shouldn't have taken a lot of work but it did. I don't give out free code.

  • @sagekiller Very basic game, you should give him code.

  • Can you at least tell me how you did it? Or where you got the code from? I'm making a turn based game, too, but I need code to make an AI like you did here. Please?!!

  • @sagekiller To be such a stickler about you code is not a good idea, make your stuff freebase. Thats how things improve. And no offence but this isnt hard at all, and shouldnt have taken alot of work to put in

  • cool game i have also make so a game but it tooks me 3-4 Houers and it haves only punch check it oout in my video

  • @sagekiller Ohh Okay no harms done!
