  • My question is this in what form would you recommend one take Nitric Oxide.. pills or powder mix drink ?.. How would you rate the bodybuilding/ fitness N.O. supplements currently on the market ?...can you endorse a particular N.O. product ? Thank You for this wonderful information.

  • NO is not available in pills or powder because it is a gas. Arginine and Citrulline, however, are available in pills and powders, and are the precursor amino acids for the production of NO.

Arginine softgels are the same as the powder but they come in gelatin capsules. You can open the gelatin capsules to produce the powder if you prefer.

Dr. Ignarro endorses the product he formulated, Niteworks which is sold through Herbalife distributors.

  • take a look "Possible increases in risk of death from heart disease

A clinical trial found that patients taking an L-arginine supplement following a heart attack didn't improve in their vascular tone or their hearts' ability to pump. In fact, more patients died who were taking L-arginine than placebo and the study was stopped early with the recommendation the supplement not be used by heart attack patients. what is this mean!?! that nitric oxide kills you? is it ok for a 15 years old?

  • Nitric Oxide is safe and does not kill you. Arginine is in almost every food you eat and your body produces NO every singly day whether you like it or not.

Ever go for a run? You got an NO boost. Ever eat some cashews or a steak? You got an NO boost.

It is true that in a single study it was demonstrated that after having a heart attack it may not be beneficial to take arginine. Studies relating to before a heart attack show other results.

  • Would you recommend taking both Arginine & Citrulline?

  • Yes, it is very important to take both Arginine and Citrulline. Citrulline recycles into Arginine and enhances the NO production significantly. This is one of the key points in Dr. Ignarro's book NO More Heart Disease.

  • "Nitric Oxide, mitrochondria and neurological disease." Pubmed-Medline. Search this on Google and you'll find it, and many more. Wikipedia also mentions what high levels of NO can be implicated in.

I didn't say that NO wasn't beneficial to the CV system - I'm talking about mitrochondrial disease.
