Abby Epstein, Emmy awardwinning director and coauthor of Your Best Birth, was
the resident director of the Broadway musical Rent and the associate director of The Vagina Monologues in New York, Toronto, and Mexico City. She débuted at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival with Until the Violence Stops in 2004, and most recently directed the Business of Being Born.
