Oh damn, why do people in the firefighting business have to criticize the flaws of the job in this show? IT'S JUST A DAMN TV SHOW!!!!!!!! Geesh it's a good show that many enjoy watching, if you don't like the way I firefighters are being portrayed then dont watch the damn show, stop complaining already!!

Clearly a film doesn't fully reflect reality because it would be too boring for most people, but this is not just love stories like someone says.

when something is being portrayed in an undermining or inflating manner, it could be irritating to those who are what is being portrayed in real life even though it is just a show

The only problem I had with Rescue Me was the fact that most of Tommy's Career was spent arguing on a cell phone.

I think Rescue Me had a few of those moments for comedic effect. I mean, if you want a dark comedy/drama about firefighters, that's your show. I don't know how well it holds up in the realism department, but the characters are interesting and well written. It's not another bland procedural drama. It focuses more on the characters, but still has thrilling moments. I'd highly recommend it.

I remember when it was gonna start back in October and how I was so excited. Then I started working nights and decided not to watch it since I would be missing too many episodes. BIG MISTAKE!! Started watching it yesterday and now I'm playing catch up. I'm in love with the show!
