In TEXAS, we shotgun the beer through the hole the dart has made.. And the first person to make their opponent shotgun 3 beers wins. Gets you really drunk.

I don't know where you guys are from but we have been playing this game for 10 years in Canada, we also shake the cans then throw, so you have to shotgun them, or stack one on the other if you hit the top shotgun the top hit the bottom shot gun both, hit a leg or body part, shotgun a beer.......

Heather, I never claimed to invent this game. I like the shotgun idea, but if you have ever got a lip stuck in a can while shotgunning, you know what a drag that is. Playing with the can closed will eliminate most of the beer once the can is hit, but I can see the appeal. I figured this may have originated in Canada. The first time we played it was with a bunch from northern MN.
