Offroad bicycle tour to Snoqualmie Pass WA on the Iron Horse Trail, a rails to trails project. The Iron Horse goes thru the longest tunnel open to hikers and bikers in the United States, the Snoqualmie Pass tunnel.

  • the tunnel is two and something miles long, twice as long as the Paw Paw tunnel.

  • What a video - and what a ride. It's sad that economic conditions forced the closing of an electrified railroad like the Milwaukee Road - especially now, that we could use more electrics. I would really like to bike this line be close to the history of this transcontinental route.

  • wow, that Iron Horse trail looks pretty cool. I'm going to ride that this summer. (if we ever get a summer)

  • I rode this trail with a very cheap road bike years and years ago, it was totally doable and fun! Of course this time I'm going to ride on my road/mountain hybrid, but you can pretty much do this on any bike and its really fun!

  • That tunnel is longer than Paw Paw tunnel on the C and O canal?

  • i still think a touring bike that can travel off road also is always a better plan.

  • What tires do you have that can go on gravel with that bike?

  • Nice Video,it shows what can be done on the Surly LHT Tour wise. I watch all these Videos from different People since I got my LHT.

It is a handy way to find out how it Handles in Mountain areas. It gives me Inspiration to go off Touring ,Thanks.

  • Curious to know if there's ever been any kind known trouble in that 2 mile tunnel? That's two miles of opportunity for all kinds of things to happen in the dark. No fear here, it's an incredible tunnel, but I'm a realist too and if I was new in the area, I would want to know what things to look out for.

  • Hey- I know that trail! or at least part of it

  • nice video, but the music distracts from the video
