  • this is a great song...what is the name of the song?

  • @gregclark159 Hey there, sorry for the late reply, the song is called Rhythm but i'm not to sure who sings it.

  • Beautiful! The fact that you got that many dancers on stage synchronized is incredible, i know it had to have been a lot of work. It looks really good!

And to the comment below me, this is definitely east coast swing :)

  • some ppl say that this is jitterbug jive or fifties jive aswell...but if you take out the triple step from east coast swing and you get this so i see it as beginner east coast.

  • and You don't have to agree i'm just letting you know why i called it east coast. thank you for the comments. and as for the work...we were doing the dance for about 4 hrs straight before we performed, it was crazy.

PS: i almost dropped my partner during the ending cause i barely had any strength left. LOL the guy in the front row noticed.

  • Jitterbug is to East Coast Swing as Lindy Hop is to West Coast Swing. Jitterbug shares the same basic steps ECS and West Coast Swing shares the basic steps of Lindy Hop. But take a look at how different those two dances look! Keep Swingin! :)

  • Now I see what you were talking about, i thought they were just dancing "ballroom" style cause they were in competition. Thanks for being patient and clearing that up for me :)

  • That is one difference. I know it is a hard sell, but look at the way it is danced, ballroom style. With moves you wouldn't see from a Jitterbug. Again, they share the same basic step, but they are danced very different. To be even more exact, I teach this at my ballroom and what I call the class is "A Jitterbug's Guide To East Coast Swing" Cause it is ECS, just modified to be hip and cool, thus Jitterbug :)

  • Ya i looked at some clips and i don't know if I'm just missing something but the only difference I see is the triple step.

  • Jitterbug used to be a term they would label all swing dancers with. However in the 1950's with the early rock n roll it became what they called their dance. ECS is what Arthur Murray taught. More or less, Jitterbug uses the same basic step as ECS but it doesn't look like ECS. Take a look at some of the high level ECS videos here on Utube, you will see what I mean. I would call this Jitterbug or Rock Jive.
