Lastly I presented a trailer of the film "The Killing Fields" basically a film about how a man chose his profession over the lives of his friends....and it celebrated that as being passionate and compassionate..Was it really? How does China percieve Cambodia? I told them how the actor, Hang S. Ngor, who won the oscar for that film was murdered shortly after...Sidney Schoenberg continues to write books and lives very comfortably..Is that because he was "dancing on their graves"?....Hmmm..Then I presented the Springsteen video....How was Springsteen basically choosing his own profession in covering the song? Springsteen never served in the war or enlisted in protecting his country and now works for SONY....What is "War" good for...and for who?...Was he being compassionate or opportunistic? But didn't he do the best job with the song? Why does that matter? Then I ended with "Dam Street"...at the beginning....It was a long class that I should have broken up over two classes...but I didn't have the timing worked out....because it was all new to me....I even had to learn Powerpoint in Chinese.
