Joe puts a quote of Ron Pauls in his book from 2003, where Dr. Paul tells the Banking and Housing committee that the artificial stimulation and over investment in the housing industry would lead to a catastrophic collapse.

  • @Mechanized0 That seems to be the strategy of many on the left. You hear the same term "wing nut" over and over. They're playing to the ill informed masses.

  • @mikelunz Indeed. It is akin to suggesting that because one does not believe in the government providing food and water via taxpayer dollars to everyone (obviously food and water is more important to life than even education) then said individual is "heartless" and "cruel." The cognitive dissonance here is quite astounding.

  • @GaryVolts Any yet, many individuals foolishly suggest that Dr. Paul and the Austrian economists are "kooks," "racists," and "nuts."

  • @petepamf I do believe that our general increase in education and technology is far great than what we have today. There are so many options but I think so many people are afraid of losing control of "the system". Sweden has tried vouchers and has had loads of success. I believe their head of state suggested it to Obama after he won. I will say that I believe a huge bureaucratic system won't solve anything. Parents and communities deserve more control over their children.

  • @brad238899 I don't like the state either but saying things were better in the good old days strikes me as a bit short sighted. I agree with your concerns but not mad about the solutions.Do you really think people were well educated from the 1700's till 1979?I beg to differ. However I do agree things are bad I just don't always think going back to the founding fathers is always the answer.Seems we are growing in knowledge regardless of how the media tries to dumb us down.i get what yer saying tho

  • @petepamf The Federal Department of Education that is. Your state has it's own department. Is it that nuts to say the 40 +/- Million children's education shouldn't be controlled by Washington but should be the charge or state governments, county governments, city governments and their parents? The Dept of Education wasn't started until 79. Education somehow survived in our nation from the 1700s all the way up to 79 is it that "yahoo" to think they could do it again?

  • Yeah he's cool.. Cutting the Dept. of Education though is a bit too ya hoo Texan for me though.

  • you hit the nail on the head. They are going to be like "He does not care about your families education, doesnt that sound selfish?" "he does not believe in helping the poor," Those are their flip arguments, which of course are furthest from the truth.
