  • Hello Four Aces lovers!

I'm Bruce Belland Co-founder and Lead Singer of the Four Preps.

Al Albert and the Aces were idols of ours. Al could wring every ounce of emotion out of any lyric.Check out some early Preps releases on iTunes or Amazon and you'll hear a lot of the Aces influence.

I love youtube! How else could millions of people world wide be reminded of past greatness.

Al Albert - Lead Singer Supreme - Rest in Peace my frined.

  • @mahonedb1 Why do take take offence? I wasn't comparing the two groups directly, I was merely pointing out that they were two groups at the top of their game.I have many records of both, and in my opinion they are great groups in their own right. They both have a distinctive sound of their very own, with a lead singer who is a first rate vocalist. With class fellow members it all blended together superbly. As Bruce Belland mentions, the Four Aces were a big influence on the Preps

  • @frankiehiyo

i'm sorry, but i take offense to comparing the two groups. the four preps were good, but the four aces were great. there is no comparison, and you should be ashamed you even compare the two. it's okay though...everyone is entitled to their opinion, as jaded as it may be.

  • Thank you Four Aces for a beautiful song

  • Unfortunately they just don't make songs like this any more. These old tunes had real meaning. Thanks for this great song, among my top three oldies and goodies.

  • @TheFourPreps The Four Preps were as good as the Four Aces in their own way, and you are a fine vocalist in your own right. Like the Four Aces the Preps had a distinct and unique sound, and like all the greats you knew straight away who was singing the song. My favourite Four Aces song is A Many Splendoured Thing. My Favourite Four Preps song is Lazy Summer Night. Both such great songs and wonderful singing.

  • Goosepimples!!!

  • THE MLLLS BRO &THE 4aces

  • What a great, great voice he had. Al Alberts could sing on key with perfect diction, loudly, without ever losing the meaning of a song. There will never be another like him.

  • @TheFourPreps -Bruce, Al Alberts and the 4 Aces were great. However, you are not exactly chopped liver. I saw you on Long Island in April and I told you you sound as good as you did many years ago. Your group inspired other west coast groups like the Beach Boys and Jan and Dean and of course Rick Nelson (with whom I share the same birthday,May 8). Keep rockin Bruce. To those youtubers who read this post, see Bruce and his group whenever you can. You won't be disappointed.

  • @TheFourPrepsWell hello ! 4 Preps. Loved your group also. Use to sing your song. Why don't you draft all the other Groups, when I was in Vietnam with the guitar player from our group. You did a bang up job of the 4 Aces, when you sang The Draft is a many Splendored Thing. Sounded like them . Thanks for your music.
