Remove broken songs from iTunes

Ever had dead or broken songs on iTunes?(songs that don't work) here is an easy way to fix that. Create a New Playlist (Ctrl + n) and drag all your songs from Music into it. Select all the song in the new playlist, right click, ratings, and set to none. Now create a new smart playlist (Ctrl + Alt + n) and set it to "Playlist" "Is Not" "(whatever you named your regular playlist)" select all songs in this playlist, right click, ratings, one star. Now go to music and sort by rating. Select and delete all the songs with a 1 star rating.

i know how to do it on a mac u just go in music and click on a song and then hold shift

at the song that you want gone it will high light all songs up to where u hold shift and click u just right click and move to trash and remove all from trash

dragging took awhile as i have 35000 songs but then it worked ... THX !

first i tried to select all songs in the MAIN music list and added it to the playlist without dragging and nothing happened. so you really have to DRAG for initiating a background verification.
