Akiyoshi Mishima Interview

Excerpt from the artist interview:
"I don't really feel that I am a painter, but I have been working on a lot of things and exhibiting works with the art group "Enlightenment." In Japan, Enlightenment is known at as a graphic design team. I do VJ work there as well as making commercials and promotion videos. I also make fine art videos. And I contributed to this edition of "Roppongi Crossing" at Mori Art Museum. I was able to hold a solo show at Nanzuka Gallery. I also work as a fashion designer, and I want to be serious about fashion design. That doesn't necessarily mean I want to quit graphic design. I would like to do both. So I don't really think of myself as a painter, but since this is what I am doing, I want to do it well."
