Teppei has done wonders for their sound. I totally agree with Dustin that the band sounds much better when they mix themselves. I mean, they are the ones with the vision, and that vision is an elephantine needle-point that can't be compromised. I love the way the bass sounds on the new albums, esp. in Daedalus and Humming, which is more raw, almost visceral. Thrice carries music into the future with resolve. Not every band has a clean-hearted poet-sage as a leader, and they do.
