Congratulations, brilliantly played and a fantastic tone you've got.

@cv10 - You don't need more bow for this particular etude. The bow has to be very precisely placed, which she's doing. I only suggest that the last 16th of each trill figure (always a separate down bow) be played with a flick of the wrist, but no forearm, it will be more graceful. My main suggestion is that you now try to phrase it more musically rather than just play as a "technical study," it's actually quite a nice piece of music.

@kellbellwon - Her tempo is NOT all over the place, it's very steady, just a hesitation here and there. Overall a very accurate player. Intonation goes a bit off in the b flat minor section just before the end, but that is a hellishly difficult passage to play in tune! Re: rhythm of the trill figure, I play it like she does, it is so written in the Yampolsky (Jampol'skij) ed. (Moscow) -- where this is no. 21 -- and no doubt many other eds.

Well, I always thought they were hextuplets... Either way, she plays it well...
-
@kevaughn1030 i think you have either a different edition or the wrong etude. The galamian version has no "hextuplets"

The Hermann edition is actually supposed to be played with that rhythm where the last two in the 6 is sixteenth notes instead of 32nd notes. My instructor had me write the bars in so it would be a 6 pattern and not a 4-2 pattern. Just thought you would like to know!

the rhythm is fundamentally wrong on those hextuplets, supposed to be evenly spaced to give the triplet feel for each eighth note pulse.
-
haha on your own video.... really?

agreed on the handling of the bow. also, her tempo is all over the place. doesn't sound like she was very sure of herself. maybe work with a metronome.
good try!
SKilled performer!
