Do you still need the buffer tube when using a CMMG 22 bolt, or can you get rid of it?

@garettleigh Coming engineers in industry: The .22 round will not damage your gun any more than firing a 5.56 or .223. What will happen though is you're just not going to get really good accuracy. Reports seem to say 5-10 inches at 50 yards with a 1/7" twist. A 1/9" barrel is reported to yield 5 inch groupings, maybe a tad lower depending on ammo, at 50 yards.
Basically, if close and cheap shooting is all you care about, you should like this product. If you want accuracy, go with a .22 upper.

@Antiworld23 This may be a little late, but Stagg Arms now makes a left handed conversion kit. It is more expensive, but they always screw us lefties...
Do a web search for left handed Stagg conversion kit.
Will this work with a Stag Arms AR-15 lefty upper?
Antiworld23 2 years ago
No, this wont work with a left hand model of AR-15. It ejects to the right only.

Could I single feed a 22 Magnum in this set up?

Unfortunately tha conversion will not handle the magnum cartridge.

I'm looking at getting one these but I'm worried that my 1/8 twisted barrel will be to much for the 22 LR bullet. Any thought would be great.

A 1 in 8 twist is too fast to give good accuracy for the .22 LR.
