One of my favourite films. Actually I just saw it *again* about 10 minutes ago (had to test my new bigger screen).. I can't much find much problems with this film although I have a bad habit of gettings stuck to unrealistic/bad details about a film. What I can't understand, is why Jeff didn't get an Oscar for this - Really.

@drunkdonutboy I always thought Cronenberg should direct the Spider-Man movie where he transforms into the Man-Spider.

What should also be pointed out that this film is a warning. A warning of the grim possibilities of science gone wrong and the horrorific consaquences of man's curiosity. "Could we or should we"?

My good man, this was a very good review. You should review the not so great but still fun sequel.

@TheSilentPawn Lol. I remember when I first watched this is well. I was about 8 my dad rented it from the video store. I snuck downstairs to watch it with him. He told me to go back upstairs saying it was too graphic. I stayed for ten minutes watcing it and was also mentally disturbed for life! Lol.

Nice Review ! I love this film! My favorite part is when seth got out of the pod and woke up later that night after caught the fly in his sleep that whole scene is badass then he starts to workout! That musical score was awsome too!

Excellent review. I like how you added the point about Stathis being the enemy at first but as the plot progresses, he becomes the hero. My parents wrecklessly took me to the theatre to see this movie when it first came out in 1986. I was born in 1977. Needless to say, I've been mentally disturbed ever since and still check over my shoulder from time to time to make sure I'm not about to be puked on.
