A pair of tiny burrowing owls, nicknamed Linford and Christie as they were born in the year of the London Olympics, are being hand-reared and cared for by keeper Jimmy Robinson.

They will form part of the birds of prey display at Longleat Safari & Adventure Park in Wiltshire as at the Hunters of the Sky display shows.

The owls were hatched at the Hawk Conservancy Trust in Andover back in February 2012 and are now just over six weeks old.

I have two burrowing owls living in a burrow in my front yard. They moved in here in October 2012 and are still here. During the heat of the day they like to sit on my Christmas wreath on my front door, so here it is Feb. 2013 and I still have my wreath on my door. I will leave the wreath there indefinitely. They are so cute!

Owls are very smart, and these burrowing owls are the smallest of the predator birds.
