while this is not ground braking, Nokia is a very innovate company. And that guy need to learn to ride a bike. -=)

Pfft. Nothing but a voltage regulator connected to an old bicycle light generator. Easy to solder one together from a few parts. How much will Nokia charge for it?

The lack of an extra battery (or/and capacitor) makes a the generator circuit outputing an unstable voltage/current. The filters of the iPhone (or whatever connected device) do actually prevent the instant harming of the device's electronics but the fatigue of this stressing can result in damaging the device's filters and its battery. Also, even if the generating circuit outputs stable voltage/current, you should not charge your phone in an interrupting manner, like you would on a bike.
