This cop wasn't suspended for his pro-liberty leanings or free speech issues. He got into an argument with his Sergeant, got pissed off, left from work without permission, and did a no-call-no-show the day after.
In most jobs, a no-call-no-show results in termination. Which is exactly what we are seeing here.
It's unfortunate people are taking an essentially unrelated issue and lifting it up as his cause for suspension.
