@abysmalatrocious I have to agree with you - the original theme was very "child-like" and was probably changed because Ricky Schroder had grown into a teenager ... and personally I like this version more than the one that replaced it midway through this same season...

@LadyScorpio39 I'm 38 in 2011 (to give you an idea as to when I watched this). I seem to be in the huge minority, liking this Techno Rock theme better than the original. But, most of you are probably right.

@kennethtr1975 You know what's so funny? Alphonzo you didn't consider academically smart and able to get into Harvard (like Uncle Dexter wanted). Now, in Fresh Prince, you expected Carlton to get ONLY into Harvard or Yale! Same actor, HUGE character difference!
