I split a thin tree branch on accident and almost hit a bullseye at 150 feet with my 30 lb recurve. I love just shooting without sights, etc. helps you get a real feel for the whole process rather than all the cheating of sights.
@flufebunekilr I have to say, I will definitely be moving to a 40-50lb bow pretty soon. this is my first bow and 30 lb is nice to start, but for that distance, it would be much easier with 40 lb draw
@FatGuyWithAKatana i dont hunt deer with under a 40lb bow, especially at 50 yards... at that range with such low power the deer may be in alot of pain, bleed out, and die relativly slow, but yes you are right that deer would be dead :)
impressive because you have no sights and are using your hands instead of a mechanical release. once you cant consecutively hit an 8 inch circle you have gone to far, i also shoot with a recurve keep it up :)

@flufebunekilr Thanks! this is my first bow, so I am still just learning how it all works and building draw strength.
