THAT layout is 4x8? You are my hero sir! =-p and yes., I understand going ound and round gets old. I made a drawing of my own layout that I am planning, it will be 4x8 as well.6 wye's, and 16 switches. I MIGHT even expirement with layering, having a grade, and a second story to it, but that will come later. One more thing, Where did you get your locomotives? Did you decorate them yourself? Or were they a production run?

Your videos continue to amaze me. I want to have a layout like yours someday. What size is it? I unfortunately only have rom for about a 4ftx8ft "beginner" layout. Any suggestions? I am only running on a 36x36 circle track right now, but I would like to have a track with sidings, and a couple spurs. Is something like the possible on a 4x8?
Thanks, it is HO scale and is 4 foot by 8 foot. There are two mainlines with a ten car interchnage siding so two trains can run at the same time and swap out cars. It closely reflects the way the real Shawmut operated. The tow mainlines have about 20 switches so there is lots of switching to do. As you know, just going around and around gets old real fast.
