Waitrose supermarket occupied by Israel boycott

30 March 2010 War on Want organised a protest inside the Barbican branch of Waitrose in London against the supermarket's sale of produce from illegal Israeli settlements.

50 activists filled their shopping trolleys and held a sit down protest inside the supermarket. Campaigners also distributed leaflets calling on shoppers to boycott all Israeli goods until Israel complies with international law. At the end of the protest War on Want's Executive Director John Hilary handed a letter in to the store's manager demanding it stop selling settlement produce immediately.

@SatchmoSings First of all - the occupation of Palestinian territories are illegal according to international law not my 'opinion'. Second of all, Jordan hasn't got anything to do with Palestine - they invaded to protect the Palestinians' whose villages were being burned down and its people being shot at point blank range in order to ethnically cleanse them, thus International Law does not count those annexed territory as legal. The UN regards anything beyond 1967 as ILLEGALLY OCCUPIED.
