This place is just stunning, paradise on earth. The weather is great, the beaches are perfect, the food is divine and everything is so well priced. Remember to go to Phi Phi, its worth the trip just to swim in Maya Bay alone. I did think Kata was nicer than Karon though, its smaller but when i was there, more populated. I wish i was going back tomorrow, its that good.

I stand corrected .... your right. Ive just looked at my own footage froma week ago and this is Karon beach. Kata beach is about 5 minutes drive over the hill.

Im going there in 2 weeks time. Ive never been there before. Is it really as good as it looks?
Im looking forward to it and would really appreciate some advice on what to see and do (re going to Phuket town and Patong etc and whether a trip to Phi Phi is a good idea).
Also, is the sea water really as warm as im lead to believe?

I can now say ive been there and this is not Karon beach, its Kata beach. No doubt about it, only left there 3 days ago.

The Kata bech is some meters away to the left,but this is a Karon beach..Looking the street opposite is written Karon beach Market and my hotel was Karon beach..hope to come back:-)
