Brief video of the author reading his book, The Irresistible Revolution (Zondervan), in studio. Using unconventional examples from his own life, Shane Claiborne stirs up questions about the church and the world, and challenges readers to truly live out their Christian faith. Claiborne describes an authentic faith rooted in belief, action, and love, inviting us into a movement of the Spirit that begins inside each of us and extends into a broken world. • @VinylTees Sure-whites are will be a minority in the US by the year 2060. Whether or not they'd have wanted to wait another 100 years to vote in Georgia is a legitimate point. My point was why do people NEED religion to do obvious things, like voting rights or allowing people to travel on buses? Why do we have to call Martin Luther King, Jr. "REVEREND" and "DOCTOR"-and I couldn't care less if he did plagiarize-it's impossible NOT to plagiarize in religion.

  • @NixonisLord Would you say that civil rights for blacks was inevitable? If it was, then why did M.L.K., Jr. speak out on it? It was inevitable that someone was going to speak out, and he was the one who did it. It feels as if you're simply looking for a way to be angry with Christians because they've made you angry. They've made me angry too--look past them and find the real Jesus.

  • It if's "irresistible" and inevitable, why preach about it? It's like preaching for the earth to move in its orbit or the tides to go in and out. Religion is so stupid.

  • Amen to all that.

  • He is a prophet.

  • I would not consider you on quite the same level as Boenhoeffer. Keep seeking the truth. I hope you find more of it.

  • This book was truly life changing dont read it unless you are ready for change!

  • Thank you for this video and all of your comments - just initiated a swaptree trade for this book because of what was shared here...and it will circulate through the Humboldt County...
