tantum ergo, followed by benediction of the blessed sacrament (during which the organ plays the "dresden amen" from wagner's parsifal) then the recitation of the divine praises and the triple acclamation "christus vincit". Benediction takes place on the last sunday of every month following 11.30 mass at st andrew's catholic church edinburgh.

  • Thank you for your post. I am new to serving & today (Feast of St. Stanislaus) when incensing the blessed sacrament at the elevation in each direction, I only swung the thurible 3 doubles instead of 3 triples. Our priest didn't mention anything afterwards so I thank you for setting me straight. "Deus, pro cuius honore gloriosus Pontifex Stanislaus gladiis impiorium occubuit: praesta, quaesumus: ut omnes, qui eius implorant auxilium, petitionis suae salutarem consequanter effectum". 7 May, 2010

  • very nice vid. but it seems the lights on the altar candelabra were electric rather than natural.

  • Is this the only church in Scotland that offers the Tridentine Mass?

  • Alabado sea Dios por los siglos de los siglos...
