Hello :)
I didn't plan on doing this video. But I had the "ah ha" moment. And this concept is the 2nd most important idea in making an album. Or the 1st most important? Is a story more important or great photos??
Great Photos AND Great Story - ONE SUPER ALBUM!
Scrapbook, PicFolio, slide in, it doesn't matter - help your photographs tell their story.

If Life is like a box of chocolates, organzing photos is like a trip to the pumpkin patch. If you order the pages to help the photos tell their story, your album will be a treasure. Don't miss the story by focusing on 1 page or photo as an "island".

You don't have to have fancy tools to try this idea out. Grab cheap 12x12 white paper to be your page guides and use a clean pizza box. Try to organize many pages at once to tell your story. In the old days.... this was callled Power Sort.

I hope this explains what I do and take for granted now. I tried to find other resources on this topic, no luck so far. But I feel it is so important.

When you plan across pages:
1) You can make sure everything is covered you want to include.
2) Everyone shows up at least once. Don't forget yourself and a special guest like grandparents, etc.
3) If everyone represented equally or fairly? My 2 boys don't care about a Cricut. But across the pages it had better be "equal"! lol I can highlight 1 boy
on 1 page and not worry - I know I have my pages balanced out :)
4) Co-ordinate the journalling across the pages so everything is said and in order.
5) Go Crazy decorating and embellishing!! Be Creative!!!
6) Enjoy a job well done for years to come :)

Let me know how this works for you!!!
